About Liposcale® Test
The Liposcale® test is CE-marked in vitro diagnostic medical device based on nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) lipidomics that combines a basic lipid profile (total cholesterol, LDL-c, HDL-c, non-HDL cholesterol, and triglycerides) with an advanced lipoprotein profile that includes the lipid composition, size, and particle concentration of the main lipoprotein classes (VLDL, LDL, and HDL), as well as the quantification of particles in 9 subclasses. This comprehensive characterization of the lipoprotein profile facilitates cardiovascular disease risk stratification, the identification of atherogenic phenotypes not detectable with the standard profile, and the monitoring of the response to preventive and therapeutic interventions.
